The time commitment is attending meetings once per month and participation in 10 hours of school and community service projects throughout the year. These service hours can be obtained through activities organized by NJHS or by volunteering in the community through church, scouts, or other activities.
Some of the activities NJHS organizes include drives for food, clothing, or other items for families in need; school dances, yard sales, clean-up days around the school and community, yard work for our elderly or disabled neighbors, and so on. Members are expected to take an active role in service and leadership both through chapter activities as well as in their individual roles in the classroom, athletic teams, and other extracurricular activities.
